They gave me some kind of orange chicken and I asked for General Tao's I called and they told me that's how they make it I would never order from this place ever again. I suggest you do not do the same thing the kitchen filthy out front is also

We eat here about once a month and always enjoy it. The egg rolls are made with the thinner fried rice papers, which I prefer and they are delish. We tried the drunken noodles for the first time and it is now my favorite item there. Such a good depth of flavor!

I always enjoy the take out meals we get at Empire Express. We usually get delivery on Saturdays because I work all day. If we don't get delivery we do pick up for dinner. The portions are generous, the food is very tasty and there are so many choices on the menu. I have been eating here for years and highly recommend it.

The online menu is not accurate: They will no longer include Miso soup with Japanese dinner and the steak was cut with the grain making it chewy instead of tender. Basic mistake, shows lack of experience or care in meal preperation. Egg Foo Young pancakes were 1/2 the size they used to be. I know the vegetables are supposed to be somewhat al dente but this time they were nearly raw. The Happy Family had one piece of sea food was generally low on meat overall. The shrimp in the Lo Mein was really chewy and tasted stale. There was no Soy sauce, sweet & sour sauce, fortune cookies, etc. supplied with the meal. The steamed rice was perfect. This order was not up to what we have come to expect from Empire Express, this was a rather disappointing experience and hopefully an aberration. We may place another order with them in a couple of months and if it was like this one, we will not be back. Like I said, not up to previous efforts, I hope that they will get back on track.

The spare ribs were rock hard and dried out. We ordered the Hibachi Steak dinner and did not get the Miso soup and the steak was cut with the grain instead of across so the meat was really chewy, we recut it so we could eat it. The rest of the dinner was great, as usual.

We had ordered the Japanese Hibachi Steak dinner and it was suppose to come with miso soup (it did not) and the egg foo young had an abundance of chicken and was low on shripm and scallops, only one piece per pancake.

Ordering online went great. One hour and 15 minutes later we are still waiting for delivery. And they are maybe 15 minutes away. Not sure about this or whether slow delivery is on Empire Express.

The problem with ordering from this restaurant is that we always have to wait at least an hour to have our food delivered when they are 10 mins from our house. We have actually chose to pick up our food numerous times because of this and/or ordered from other restaurants that are further away.

As usual, a pretty good meal. The only thing wrong was the Teriyaki Steak was not edible, the meat was over cooked and sliced with the grain, not across which made it very chewy and not tender, we could not eat the steak. Everything else was great, we just will not order the Teriyaki again as this was twice in a row.

It always seems to take around an hour, sometimes longer, to get the food. However, once you get it, it's very good, and the customer service provided by the delivery drivers is excellent.
